Visitors to Fleetwood
John Woodman
The author was treated? to a hectic visitation by avid fans of Rigby Road Publications from The Netherlands and Crewe this week. As part of a tram lovers Grand Tour the duo embarked on visits to Blackpool and the Isle of Man taking in rare and exotic locations of interest. These included the Meskell Transport Emporium as first stop off the M55 where Mr Meskell's latest titles were purchased - next stop the Woodman heritage centre where they were treated to lunch and display of rare items from Blackpool's transport past. A mandatory trip to Fleetwood by tram brought them the Wyre Dock tramway graveyard for detailed camerawork of the remains of FHLT endeavours - past their shelf life date.

After viewing the Wyre Dock tramatorium the return trip to North Pier coincided with travel on the BTS special Jubilee emblazoned tram. The day culminated in a round robin tour of the appalling traffic junction and roundabout at Thornton designed by three blind mice as part of the great bypass test.
