Pause for now - an update from TramTalk

By Jess Meyer-Rassow (John's daughter)

Dear Avid Readers,

For many years, I know it has been my father's joy and privilege to share his passion for trams and politics through his TramTalk blog. I have found myself (and my tram pics and adventures) featured numerous times on the site and know that your engagement, comments, and shared enthusiasm has helped make this a truly rewarding experience for him.

Rather than leaving TramTalk to remain silent, I wanted to share some personal news and update on my father. At the end of 2023, he experienced a stroke that has impacted him considerably. This unexpected turn has necessitated a period of reflection and adjustment and it has become clear that his ability to contribute to the TramTalk blog and manage the day-to-day operations of Rigby Road Publishing will need to remain on pause.

In light of these circumstances, and as we contemplate the future of the website and Rigby Road Publishing, we have decided to reduce the prices of our current books in stock. We hope this will allow more of you to enjoy the stories and histories that my father worked so hard to curate and share, as we pause to reassess our journey forward.

Looking ahead, we are exploring various options for the future of the TramTalk blog and Rigby Road Publishing. Our commitment to celebrating the rich history and vibrant future of trams and bus transportation remains steadfast, and are hopeful about what the future holds.

My father will be taking this time to focus on his health and recovery, with the goal of returning to his passions with renewed vigour when strong enough.

A big thanks to you all for your understanding and continued support. Please keep an eye on the website for updates on our progress and plans.
